As Christmas can be a difficult time for any person dealing with difficulties in their lives we as Tukundane
charity organisation reached out to our members to try and make the season more happier time. We
took time to do some shopping for our Tukundane WOMEN, picking some basic everyday products that
they use regularly such as bread, sugar, cooking oil, soap, rice, flour and a few other goods. We also
provided the families with envelopes with some petty cash to help them with small needs.
During the visit we also sat down with a few of the Tukundane WOMEN to get an in-depth look into
their stories. We sat down with Rebecca, and two other members and they told us about some of the
challenges that they face as single mothers living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda and their communities.
As an organisation it’s important for us to understand the key issues that our members face, the
struggles that they continuously go through so that we tackle the right problems to make an affective
change in their lives.
